With effect from 1 May 2025, the CNSS has implemented the old-age pension for insured persons who do not reach the 3,240 days previously required. Decree no. 2.25.265 covers people retired between 1 January 2023 and the entry into force of law no. 02.24, with at least 1,320 days of insurance.

Amount and retroactive effect

The minimum amount depends on the number of days accumulated and falls between MAD 600 and MAD 1,000. The pension includes cover under the compulsory health insurance scheme (AMO). For people falling within the scope of the transitional arrangement, entitlement takes retroactive effect from the date of retirement.

A claim may be filed through the TAAWYDATI portal or at a CNSS branch. The insured person must check that their career statement reflects all the periods declared by their employers.

In practice

A few missing days can change entitlement or the level of the pension. Before filing, it is therefore worth reconciling the CNSS statement against payslips, employment certificates and employer attestations. Any discrepancy should be reported together with the available supporting documents.

The 1,320-day threshold does not mean that everyone who has contributed automatically receives a pension. The age conditions, the retirement date and the rules of the scheme continue to apply. An individual file must be assembled to confirm eligibility and the effective date.
