On 11 November 2025, the Office des Changes integrated the national E-ID digital identification solution into the OC CONNECT mobile application. The scheme, developed by the General Directorate of National Security, allows paperless registration and access to services relating to personal foreign currency allowances.

Available services

Users can check their allowance balance remotely, receive an alert after each foreign exchange transaction, and access the history of the related movements. The application also gives access to the service for calculating the supplement to the personal travel allowance.

The integration of the digital identity is intended to strengthen the security of access and to reduce the steps involved in creating an account. The application is available on the main mobile stores.

In practice

OC CONNECT is a consultation and tracking tool; eligibility for an allowance and the supporting documents required remain defined by the General Instruction on Foreign Exchange Operations. An estimate displayed in the application must be reconciled with the income tax actually paid and with the amounts already granted.

It is advisable to activate alerts, to check each transaction and to report any discrepancy promptly. Users must also protect access to their phone and to their digital identity. Before travelling abroad, checking the balance before activating a card or buying currency helps avoid a last-minute block.
